A proposed redevelopment at 64 Poydras Street would replace an existing single-family home with a five-story building containing 36 residences and approximately 1,900 square feet of ground-floor diner space.
The proposal includes 15 garage parking spaces and 32 bicycle spaces. Boston scheduled a public meeting for October 29, and the project record lists November 9 as the end of the public comment period.
Why it matters
The project illustrates how a single parcel could accommodate substantially more housing and a neighborhood business. It also raises the local planning questions that often accompany greater density, including building scale, parking and street activity. It remains a proposal, not a completed or approved development.
